Written by an unknown 85 year old lady

God, If I had to live my life over, I would dare to make more mistakes. I would relax and ramble around, I would be sillier than I have been on this trip. I'd take few things so seriously, and I'd take a lot more chances.

I would take more trips and climb more mountains. I would eat more ice cream and less prunes. I would perhaps have more troubles, but I sure would have fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I'm one of those people who lives sensibly and safely, hour after hour, day after day. Oh I had my moments. But if I had to do it over again I would have a lot more of them. In fact, I would try to have nothing else, just moments, one after another. Instead of living so many years in a big chair acting like all those persons who never go anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat or a parachute.

If I had to do it over again, I'd come lighter next time. If I had to live my life over again I would start backward, journeying in spring instead of waiting until fall. I'd go to more dances, I'd ride more marry-go-rounds, I'd pick more daisies.

So in my leaving, when I leave you today I wish you not a happy, easy, smooth ride but I wish you a life of terrific wind storms. But, also a lot of daisies.
